As a light infantry regiment they would have had Carabiniers instead of Grenadiers in one of their two elite companies. The Irish Legion were a light infantry regiment of mostly irishmen in the service of France. I did not mean the heavy cavalry regiment of the Imperial Guard with the brass cuirasses. ![]() ![]() I think you might be a bit confused by what I meant by Carabiniers.
